Reviewing my own interests(MEssy Rant)

Looking back on this blog, I feel second-hand embarrassment on behalf of my own interests. Particularly on behalf of Lolirock, because as much as I loved the show it had a lot of hiccups that now that I think about can't exactly be overlooked. Particularly the bit where Talia is the main focus of a song ONLY once, while Ariana gets only a couple seconds of Show Stealing, the music and division of parts gets better in the second season. Iris gets "Shanila" powers at the end, even though Talia and Ariana mention that everyone goes through Shanila how is it that only Iris is the one who uses those "Shanila" powers? To be fair, Talia gets her "powers of Izira moments as well" Well Ariana just gets the story of a long lost brother,  though we know she has a lot of siblings, they never show up in the show and we don't understand the impact it has on her character because Ariana is just a cheerful upbeat boy crazy girl on a regular basis.

It's just sort of annoying, similar with Bloom. Because Iris is the protagonist she gets this special halo that makes me fall out of love with her(though I never really liked Iris anyway, I mean I appreciated her existence but I can't say she was ever a favorite, she just seemed like the typical nice girl, I did appreciate her character design though,). At least with Winxclub no matter how cheesy, everyone still got their well-deserved spotlight. Lolirock... not so much. Sometimes...

The same voice is used for all girls when they sing and let's talk about never being able to hear Ariana's tambourine in songs. *facepalms* It's just. . . funny. Cringey. I still like it... particularly because of Talia and Mephisto, I love their characters and their character  designs soooo much they inspired me for a new story idea that I still feel passionately about getting around to finish(TT. TT). Though Lolirock ends up adding new characters to join the squad in the end, these new additions do not join the band, and for most episodes of the rest of season 2 they don't really show up. Which makes you sorta wonder why they were added to begin with? It just makes me think of Winx Club, Do-re-mi, all the magical girl , girl group shows(Bratz) shows I could think of... it was sorta doing its own thing but at the same time sticking to that sort of genre...formula... if you get what I'm putting down.

I know the team had their difficulties so I won't say much more on that. I feel silly comparing this with Winxclub now. I still love the characters but I have to admit the ball was dropped... maybe from the very beginning and since I was seeing everything with fresh eyes, the little things went over my head until it became more obvious. It... it had potential. I'll just keep it at that.

Moving on to SHOW BY ROCK! It most certainly had that What the fuck did I just watch factor, when watching the first episode for the first time and it will make you want to watch again if you're into the cringey cute Japanese music.

Heck I made it through so many seasons of Aikatsu! I am soooo guilty! Hmmm. ... Suppose I should talk about Aikatsu later. Who am I kidding, I'm just going to bomb drop these links right here. Who am I kidding I am Aikatsu trash still in denial as to how much I love this series. Even though I don't watch the series anymore... as much...

Also there's Aikatsu Stars, I haven't seen it! But I saw a clip, the animation of the girls have definitely gotten better, she actually does body rolls when she moves! xD I'm dead.

Show by Rock Season 2 is out!

I know this is pretty late but have you all heard about Lolirock? To those who hasn't you're surely missing out. This is my first post ever here on blogspot and so just to let you know I plan to talk on a variety of animated series, so no I won't be dedicating this blog to just one show but I will try to revisit them. Tired of watching same old same old anime? Stick around here and you might see something you'll like?

Are you a fan of Winx Club? Do Re Mi? Tokyo Mew Mew Power?

Well. Be sure to check this show out, fun fact for you Zodiac Kids, the same company behind the cartoon Totally Spies is also behind this show. Brings back memories.

What first drew me to this show was it's art, I don't remember where I first saw the link...but somehow I found it and I'm so glad I did. I thought this show was going to be typical and cringey after seeing that it had the whole magical princess thing like Winx Club but I was proven wrong and learned that this show was in a class of it's own so it wouldn't be right to compare it to that. I think you should all give this shot as well.

Lolirock isn't the real reason I'm here that topic there was just an appetizer as what's to come.
Drumroll please....
I loved this anime but I didn't stay well informed- never thought they would even come up with a second season considering that this anime is based of a music game app!

That's right the one the only SHOW BY ROCK!! I'm not even sure if this is popular, I'm not sure how many of you are missing out on this wonderful creation but who cares the first episode of this anime's second season is out!  Show by Rock!!  Season one starts off with the protagonist, Cyan a shy virtuosic loner of a high school girl interested in writing songs and joining her school's light rock band. Upon watching the first few seconds of this I expected to see some similarities to K-ON! but no! This protagonist just so happens to get her soul sucked into her cell phone after unlocking a very special guitar called Strawberry Heart on the music game app she was playing and is reincarnated into another world similar to that of the phone's game, Sound Planet which is mostly populated by demi-humans!
The world she was brought into is facing a problem on their side and the protagonist has to defeat the monsters she was defeating on her phone but in up close and personal, if that makes sense. ._. Was that too much of a spoiler? Still give this show a chance. Here! For you come meet our lovely protagonist Cyan and her new band members!
(*Note: This isn't an actual episode, it's just a promotional short by the sanriojapan- the company that supports Hello Kitty and Gudetama merchandise and stuff along with more cute shorts. They never sing a song like this in the actual series as far as I remember maybe to the same tune but not the same words)

Show by Rock!! Is mostly comedic, inspiring and entertaining to watch. Upon watching the first episode you'll probably be like - What did I just watch? But hopefully thinking along those lines will make you all want to check it out. As mentioned before I won't be solely dedicating my blog to posting about this- I'd hate to spoil this for some of you new comers so I feel that it's best to go and check it out with me describing it.

The first episode of the second season was released today so feel free to use that time and check out the first season before checking in! Also just in case that previous video wasn't enough motivation...
